Jake's Birthday: The Party - Part Two

A few of the party details...

The theme was All About Jake.  With the help of my mom and sister, we cut out Jake heads and stuck them all over the house, I think there were around 26 Jake heads!  Don't you love the little hats my mom and sister made for the Jake heads!  Balloons lined the parameter of the yard. I had the hubs make sand and water stations for the kids to play in.  We recently received a kiddie pool from our neighbors and we turned that into a ball pit.  I made a simple birthday banner and a banner with Jake's monthly photos.  It was so fun putting everything together!

Jake's Birthday: The Party - Part One

Jake's birthday party was a blast!  It was so much fun coming up with ideas for the party...pinning started right after he was born for this big day.  This past month has been crazy, but I was able to pull off most of the stuff I wanted to do with much needed help from family.  It was such a fun day being surrounded by family and great friends. Lots of pictures...

Jake's Birthday Party: The Invites

The birthday party's theme is, All About Jake, so, I made these cute {at least I think so} birthday invites.

Party Inspiration

My baby boy will be ONE in about a month and a half!!! Where has this year gone!?

So, I've been doing some party inspiration collecting.  Here are a few inspiring images/ideas that might show up at Jake's first birthday.

A Baby Shower

We helped host a baby shower for some very special friends over the weekend. It was such a special time celebrating with our friends on the upcoming arrival of their son!

As you can see from the photos, I had a blast making decorations. It was the first time I was really able to test what my Silhouette SD machine could do. All the decorations were also a result of searching the web while a nursed my little one. I made the banner, diaper wreath, painted onesies, and the monogram on the ice bucket (beach bucket).

An Addiction

I have an addiction to Pinterest! So, my iphone has been a life saver through the many hours of nursing. With those many hours on my iphone came a few addictions. One of those addiction came about when Pinterest came out with an app. I've probably spent hours browsing through pins.
