I almost missed August too!  It's been a busy summer.  It's going to be a busy fall.  Hopefully, I'll get more motivated to post on a regular basis.  It just seems, if I'm not entertaining Jake, I'm working on house projects.  I have really been enjoying making our new house our home.  Just a few iphone pics of my crazy boy from the month (sorry if you follow me on instagram, you've already seen them).

Wow...

Where did July go?! Well, July was busy, but it was a good month.  We celebrated the 4th at the lake, went to the pool, hung out at the beach for a week, spent more time at the lake, did some painting at the house, playdates, had a first haircut,  are watching the Olympics, and someone got 4 new teeth!

I promise to get some pictures up from the 'real' camera, but until then, here are some iphone/instagram photos.

A few pics from the weekend...

We were finally able to get away to the lake this past weekend.  It was so nice to be on the water again!  We had a great time visiting with family, swimming, boating, and eating.  We also discovered we have a water baby.  It was his first time really being in the water and he loved it!  We were so proud of him!  He also loved wearing his new shades I found on clearance at Target, he's so stinkin' cute!  Hope you all had a nice weekend!

A Few Things...

1. I was finally able to plant a little veggie garden at the new house.  We'll hopefully have a late summer crop, fingers crossed.

I also have a little helper.  He likes watering the garden the best (because he can play with the hose).

2. We really like blackberries around here.  I would recommend this blackberry sweet tea recipe and this blackberry frozen yogurt recipe.

3. Jake loves popsicles!  I finally bought some cheap popsicle molds, but now I need some good recipes.  Any suggestions?
