We're on the way to the NC mountains to have Christmas with my husbands family. We are suppose to get lots of snow...whooha! The picture is of our dog, Georgia, and her first experience with snow last winter...she LOVED it!

WeddingS Weekend!

I'm not going to be around for the next couple of days. I have a little bit of wedding madness that starts this evening. I have two beautiful friends, Lindsay S. and Lindsay R., that are getting married this weekend, and guess what?! I'm in BOTH weddings! The festivities start this evening with a bridal shower for one, tomorrow rehearsal and rehearsal dinner for the Saturday wedding. Then Saturday it's a bridesmaid luncheon for the Sunday bride and Lindsay S.'s wedding in Greensboro, and then Sunday off to Lindsay R.'s wedding in Lexington! It's going to be a crazy weekend, but so much fun and I can't wait to see all my good friends!

Christmas Tree Candle!

I'm always looking for a candle that smells like a fresh cut Christmas tree. There are lots of 'Christmas Tree' scented candles out there, but none smell REAL. On a recent shopping trip to Target I found the perfect Christmas tree scented candle, it smells sooo real! It's Mrs. Meyer's Iowa Pine scented soy candle...you should really try it for yourself if you like the smell of freshly cut Christmas trees.

Thanksgiving Day Appetizer

Grape Salsa on Goat Cheese Crostini

I tried this recipe this past weekend at a bridal shower, I helped throw, and it was a yummy success! I plan on making this as an appetizer on Thanksgiving day. I highly recommend you try it...it's very easy!

Laundry Room Update

So, for the last couple months I've been thinking that my laundry room needs an update and better organization. It's just so blah right now. My husband has been getting on me b/c it's always a mess, well, maybe if I spruce it up I'll actually want to do laundry and keep the space organized. I don't have a very big laundry room, but I have a LOT of stuff stuffed into the space. Our house doesn't have a linen closest, so a lot of the linens end up in the laundry room. I love the vibrant colors (I LOVE blue & green) in the laundry room pictured above, and the crisp white seems to keep everything clean. The orange shade is a good way to incorporate the orange, which I would have a heard time committing to in a larger scale. This may have to go on my winter house project list.

I'm enjoying these organic, hand printed bags by artist Ashely Van Etten. They are a nice change from the traditional L.L.Bean tote bags...that I do have in every size and would like some more, but now maybe I'll replace with these great totes.
